She’s known as the “flying squirrel” for the air she gets on the uneven bars, and she’s lived up to her moniker in London. Douglas finished third overall in qualifications, and placed third on the beam, and sixth on the uneven bars. She struggled to contain her energy on floor exercise, however, and stepped out of bounds. That left her in 33rd place on that event. If she can control her power and keep sticking the landings, this squirrel may be munching on gold very soon.
