>"The fighter jets have not been stationed at RAF Northolt since World War II."

I have to admit this is interesting and I actually wrote about this last week (http://www.homesecuritydeals.c.... I personally would be a bit uncomfortable living underneath that. Lets just home that it will not be necessary to use the missiles.

"Radiation and rockets at the London Olympics you ask? Yes, more than 7,000 tons of radioactive debris pushed just to the side to build the Olympic stadium and anti-aircraft missIes anchored on the rooftops of private London residences. War games, military and private security forces patting down the throngs at a cost of £1 billion ($1.54 billion) just for “security” alone, this is the straw which has finally broken the camel’s back for my lifetime of Olympics watching."

Beter shrapnel than pieces of bodies raining down on your head.

I don't understand why you would have a problem with this safety measure on the roof top. The world is counting on you to keep them safe as they come to your country too see the world compete. In these trying times sadly there are people out there that want to hurt others for no real reason, so we need to have this type of equipment in place and to let any would be terrorist know that should he try something this is  just one of our options to  remove you from life. If this should have to be used I believe that your homes would be replaced, so here is to hoping that we do not need to resort to there use. Good luck to all in your event.

Hey Brits!  If you don't want the missiles on your rooftop, I'll take it.  I always wanted a surface to air missile on my rooftop, it's about making a statement where a simple gun turret wont do.
